San Jose and Fremont police in unmarked cars followed and subsequently arrested a man wanted in connection with a home invasion and robbery last November. The arrest, which took place in a residential area, startled nearby homeowners, who watched as police smashed the window of the suspect’s car to arrest him.

Lt. Alan Cavallo of the San Jose Police Department refused to identify the suspect, and would say only that investigators had tracked the suspect to residences in the area.
