Finance Manager Acquitted of Embezzling Charges

May 8th, 2008 · No Comments

The finance manager of Toyota of Colchester was acquitted Tuesday of embezzlement charges in connection with a scheme which cost the dealership over $300,000. Orrin Alford, 30, had been charged on two counts of first-degree larceny and one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny. However, Alford and his attorney maintained that he had known nothing about the illegal scheme.

A total of twelve people were charged as the result of an investigation into an unusual rash of cashed dealership checks, including the former general manager, Michael Robey. Most have pleaded guilty or opted for diversionary sentencing.

If you have been charged with embezzlement, you should not underestimate the seriousness of the situation. Call San Jose embezzlement lawyer Daniel Jensen today at 408-296-4100 for more information.
