This particular case is very interesting. The mother of the boy married his father in 1988. In 1991, the father was prosecuted due to the fact that he physically abused the mother. After a laborious divorce process, the courts awarded her with court-ordered child support.
Because of the very traumatic experiences that she went through, the mother became a very serious domestic violence activist. During an event that she organized which raised money for the town domestic violence center, a mysterious strangulation took place. The girl who died was the long-time girlfriend of the woman’s son.
According to police, the son, 18 years old, is the primary suspect in the case. Prosecutors say that he and the girl had just finished watching a movie about a love-crazed psychotic killer. Defense lawyers are already taking into account the fact that the boy was raised with domestic violence in the home as a large component of the cause.
